Our Work

Our Mission

Push Project aims to bring access to skateboarding throughout Africa to empower its communities and to spread positivity & creativity to the youth through music, dance, fashion, art, and design.

Africa is overflowing with untapped potential across every form of art. Push Project gives the youth access to creative tools & platforms so that we can fulfill dreams and build a new generation of creators!

We work with these up-and-coming artists to showcase new perspectives of skating that we use to create sick merchandise, with the proceeds going towards keeping the kids in Zimbabwe shredding!

Where are we now?

Push Project is currently building the first-ever concrete skatepark in Zimbabwe at Samkele Park—a community center project that Robby Kimmel is currently spearheading in Vic Falls. We have now launched a total of three skate clubs, with a fourth club currently forming in the capital city of Harare.

The Victoria Falls Skateboarding Club is the largest we currently have, with over 300 registered members. This club operates for two hours every single day and is a completely free after- school program where kids can come forget their worries and have some fun! We also started a skate club in collaboration with the Jafuta Foundation in a rural village outside of Vic Falls called Dibutibu.

The Hwange Skateboarding Club is another club we set up in a mining town 100km away from Vic Falls in collaboration with the Don Bosco Technical College.

Where are we going?

We aim to build three skateparks around Zimbabwe by 2030: Victoria Falls, Harare, and Bulawayo. Competing on an international stage is another big goal of ours, so that we can share the talent we have been cultivating here in Zimbabwe with the rest of the world. Having one of our skaters in the Olympics would truly be a dream come true! Our goal is to one day become a fully self-sustaining organization.

Many organizations rely heavily on outside funding and donations, especially many skate NGO’s. Hopefully the revenue from our merchandise will give us a strong foundation to continue creating change, although we will always accept outside donations of all types!
